In a release dated 11 October 2026, Brenntag announced that its distribution agreement with Givaudan Active Beauty now includes Australia and New Zealand. The expansion covers cosmetic actives and specialty ingredients for beauty and personal care manufacturers in those markets.
Brenntag says the arrangement combines the ingredient portfolio with local market knowledge and formulation support through its Innovation & Application Centers. It builds on the companies' existing collaboration in Southeast Asia. For private label skincare teams, our interpretation is that the news creates a reason to review the sourcing route, sample handover and responsibilities for a specific project.
Start by identifying the brand owner, ingredient buyer, production site and finished-product destination. Those locations may differ. A brand selling in Australia may develop or manufacture its skincare elsewhere, so the destination market alone does not settle which supplier entity should handle the ingredient request.
Ask the proposed distributor to confirm the territory and customer location covered by the requested supply route. If production takes place outside Australia or New Zealand, describe that arrangement explicitly. Obtain written confirmation of who can provide samples and commercial material for that manufacturing site before treating the regional announcement as a purchasing plan.
Request the precise ingredient name, grade, composition information and current technical documents for the option under review. Keep the sample identifier and batch information with the documents. Ask whether the material evaluated in development is the same grade proposed for production.
Our suggested handover record includes the sample recipient, formula version, intended application and unanswered technical questions. When several teams are involved, assign responsibility for obtaining updated documents and passing them to the manufacturer. An attractive ingredient concept is more useful when everyone is evaluating the same material.
The announcement describes access to formulation support. For your project, ask what support is available, what information the technical team needs and what deliverables can be expected. A concept formula, an ingredient study and a finished-product test answer different questions.
Ask which evidence applies to the chosen ingredient grade, use level and product format. Have the responsible technical team identify the testing required for the final formula and packaging. The distribution expansion does not, by itself, establish efficacy, stability or market readiness for a private label cream or serum.
Availability, sample quantities, order conditions and delivery timing need project-specific confirmation. Ask which entity will issue the quotation, fulfil the order and handle technical questions after delivery. Keep the confirmed specification and commercial offer together so that purchasing is not working from a different version than development.
Before committing to a launch schedule, resolve four practical questions:
A regional partnership can expand the options worth investigating. A clear project record turns that news into a usable sourcing decision.
Review the Lanthome Skincare product range and share your project brief with the target country, product format, production arrangement and ingredient priorities. Any named ingredient's sourcing route and availability require separate confirmation; this report does not announce a Lanthome relationship with either company.
